Diesel Efficiency King For a luxury SUV that weighs nearly 5,000 lbs, it still does ~24 mpg city / 31 mpg highway / ~27 mpg combined . Thats way better than its gas-powered siblings. Range That Keeps Going Large fuel tank (about 22.4 gallons ) + good highway mpg = you can drive for 650+ miles without needing to refuel if you keep it chill. Minimal stops, more road trip vibes.       I have owned Mercedes and Lexus cars, but bought a new BMW X5 35i in 2014 thinking I would own it for years. Within one year, I was having problems: first, with having to replace the battery, next the suspension went out, then the car had to be reprogrammed for $200, and now the passenger seat has literally come apart on the side. I’ve had this car in the shop more than any other luxury car I’ve had. Very poor quality for a luxury car.…

      Cannot say enough about this X5. We travel cross country every winter and it is awesome in all weather conditions. The ride, handling and comfort are second to none. I normally trade in at this time but it’s to difficult to to get rid of it.…
